After spending the majority of the transfer window on the hunt for a target man, it appears Chelsea have finally made a signing. 24 year old Israeli international Yerda Selsavon, who currently plays for the Seattle Sounders, is rumoured to have agreed a contract.
Both footed, able to play on either wing and with bags of pace Selsavon has all the makings of a Complete Forward. However Yerda is a key player for the MLS club and a big fee is expected to be involved.
It is likely the money paid will eclipse the £58M paid for Alvaro Morata in the summer. This likely means the new signing will be under a lot of pressure to perform.
When asked about the supposed transfer, Chelsea Manager, Antonio Conte said: “We would love to have him at the club. We’ve tracked him for a while and he seems to be just what our team needs. I like his style on the ball and he’s also a physical players. I can’t wait for Yerda to score lots of goals for us.”
